5.4 Depreciating an Asset
To depreciate an asset, first call up the Asset Register dialog
by selecting it in the Assets menu. Select the proper date range
and click on the button labelled 'OK'. Next, double-click on the asset
that you wish to depreciate to call up the Edit Asset dialog.

Then, select Depreciate Asset from the Assets menu. Fill in the proper date range and click 'OK'.
To exit from the Edit Asset dialog, click in the small box in the upper left corner of the window, or select Close from the File menu, or type in its key equivalent, <cmd-W>. The same options are available if you want to exit at this time from the Asset Register dialog.
